The 2022 National Outstanding College Students Summer Camp of the School of Business Was Successfully Held

On July 7th, the 2022 National Outstanding College Students Summer Camp of the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University kicked off on-line.

On the morning of July 7th, the opening ceremony of the 2022 National Outstanding College Students Summer Camp of the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University was successfully held on line. Associate Dean Zheng Guojian delivered a speech on behalf of the school, extended a warm welcome to the outstanding college students from all over the country, and introduced the current development situation of the school which has provided a first-class platform and rich resources for students' research and study.

In the live broadcast of famous faculties, Professor Xiao Jinghua - Director of the Management Science Teaching and Research Office, analyzed the macro and micro driving factors of enterprise digital transformation based on more than ten years of research cases of enterprise digital transformation, and discussed how to carry out theoretical exploration and research in the digital economy environment.

Professor Li Weiwen discussed with the campers how to study real issues in the field of management based on his personal research experience in the field of strategic leadership, Professor Cao Chunfang - Academic Director (undergraduate accounting major) and Director of Accounting Teaching and Research Office, discussed the development of Chinese enterprise groups from three aspects: supervision, geography and theory.

The host, Professor Zhang Junsheng, made wonderful comments on the three academic reports, introduced the arrangement of the following summer camp activities, and wished the campers a fruitful summer camp.

On the afternoon of July 7th, the Business Administration and Management Science and Engineering division camps held two supervisor meetings. The representatives of the supervisors of each teaching and research office gave the campers a comprehensive and systematic introduction of the situation of various disciplines and majors from the aspects of enrollment situation, cultivation methods, teaching characteristics, and research strength, etc. The campers actively asked questions, shared their personal opinions, and actively interacted with the supervisors on enrollment training, teaching and research, etc. The supervisors also responded in details to their concerns with patience.

On July 8th, comprehensive interviews were conducted for the academic degree and professional degree summer camps. The faculties gave each camper an objective, rigorous and responsible evaluation.

It is believed that in the near future, more outstanding students will join the big family of the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University, where they can further their studies and pursue their dreams.
