New Opportunities for Cooperation丨Our School Held the "14th Five-year Plan" Seminar

From August 19th to 21st, 2021, the 14th Five-year Planning Seminar of our school was successfully held in Guangzhou. The conference conducted in-depth discussions on themes of "Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context", "Digital China", "Transformation of Talent Cultivation", "Construction of High-level Faculty Team" and "Institutional Mechanisms", and clarified the construction goals, tasks and development paths for the next five years from the perspective of strategic planning, which further builds up consensus.

On the afternoon of August 19th, Dean Wang Fan delivered a keynote report entitled "Summary of the development of the '13th Five-year' Plan and the Development Plan of the '14th Five-year' Plan".

Then, Associate Dean Liu Jingyan, Associate Dean Zheng Guojian, and Deputy Secretary Zhou Jing of the school, respectively made key speeches around the "14th Five-year Plan".

Xie Manhua - Secretary of the Party Committee of the school, led everyone to systematically study the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping at the Ceremony Marking the Centenary of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of important instructions on the formulation of the "14th Five-year Plan" Outline, and also elaborated on General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks on ideological and political education in curriculum, disciplinary inspections and rectification, and put forward the basic requirements for doing these two tasks.

In the evening, the school held a joint meeting with the Party Committee and the Party and government to discuss the "14th Five-year Plan" related matters for planning the layout for the construction and development of the school.

On August 20th, all the participants had a lively discussion in groups on the topics of "Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context", "Digital China", "Transformation of Talent Cultivation", "Construction of High-level Faculty Team" and "Institutional Mechanisms".
